The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation believes that the bill to amend article 209 of the Tax Code of Ukraine (re peculiarities of VAT payment by agricultural enterprises) requires refinement

The bill (Reg. No. 10731) provides legislative regulation of using VAT funds accumulated by agricultural enterprises to stimulate development of cattle breeding.

The Committee stressed that plant industry, forestry and fish farming are of great importance for economy of the state, as well as ecology and management of natural resources. People’s deputies believe that giving priority to animal breeding rather than other branches requires broad discussion and preliminary adoption of a decision by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
